MRT Operating Hours Changed from Today

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) applies an adjustment to MRT operation starting today.

MRT operating hours start at 05:00-22:30 on weekdays and 06:00-22:30 on weekends and holidays

The adjustment was to follow up on Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 2 implementation in Jakarta which was set by the Government through Jakarta Transportation Agency Head's Decree (SK) No. 198/2022 on Technical Guidelines for Managing Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities.

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Rendi Alhial explained MRT operating hours started at 05:00-22:30 on weekdays and 06:00-22:30 on weekends and holidays.

The headway time on the weekdays was set every 5 minutes between fleets during peak hours or at 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-19:00 and every 10 minutes during off-peak hours.

"Headway time on weekends or holidays is set every 10 minutes," he said, Friday (4/8).

During Ramadan, MRT Jakarta allowed passengers to break their fast on the train and station with certain conditions for the convenience of MRT Jakarta users.

"Passengers are only allowed to break their fast by drinking water or eating dates with a maximum time of 10 minutes after Maghrib call to prayer," he mentioned.
